As the News Editor, I was responsible for leading a team of student journalists in producing regular news content for the online publication. This involved pitching news pieces for the team of journalists to investigate, reviewing their submitted articles, and ensuring that they were both factually accurate and written to a high-standard before publishing. These responsibilities were carried out whilst investigating my own developing news stories, conducting interviews, and consistently producing my own news and features articles for the website. This proved to be an invaluable experience for me, especially with regards to the knowledge I obtained in editing content for WordPress and making sure the articles written by The Warwick Tab’s journalists were informative, entertaining, and SEO-friendly.
